curate was born on the simple belief that connection creates joy. here’s the story behind it…
 

prior to having children, i was both a special education teacher and yoga instructor. for just shy of five years, i had the wonderful opportunity to stay at home full time with my two children, ella and jack.
 

in late 2023, after several years of exclusively focusing on being a mom, i started to notice that i had some extra bandwidth and creative energy that seemed to be yearning for an outlet. i began to think about what could potentially be next for me. as 2023 turned into 2024, i quietly celebrated my early january birthday vision-boarding with a glass of wine. that same evening, while feeling inspired, i purchased a manifestation journal online. i spent the next month using my free time between preschool drop-off/pickup, laundry, and meal planning to answer the prompts and questions in the manifestation journal.  during that process, i came up with the concept for curate and by april of 2024, i had established the LLC. i was really excited to launch a business that utilized both my organization-loving teacher side and my aesthetic-loving creative side.
 

i officially launched curate in summer of 2024 and have spent two years growing the business in richmond, virginia hosting corporate events, neighborhood gatherings, mom groups, birthday parties, and more.my ultimate goal in opening curate was, and still is, to foster connection and create joy.
